With 22 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and 18+ years in the classroom, Eric Gallant brings real-world expertise and hands-on learning together every day. After building a successful career in geotechnical engineering—coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, site development, and large-scale construction projects—he transitioned into education to share his industry knowledge with the next generation.
In the classroom, Eric has specialized in industrial arts and technology, teaching students practical skills in construction technology, engineering fundamentals, drafting, woodworking, photography, and project-based design. His lessons blend technical precision with creativity, emphasizing problem-solving, safety, teamwork, and industry standards. In 2025 Eric joined the UTC team and is bringing his diverse experience to our 9th and 10th grade students at Brewer High School.
Known for his collaborative and caring approach, Eric prepares students not only to succeed academically but to enter the workforce with confidence and competence. His goal is to inspire students to explore careers in technology and the trades while equipping them with the technical skills and work ethic needed to thrive in high-demand industries.
