CTE Exploratory Instructor (2 Positions - Brewer High School and Hermon High School)
CTE Exploratory Instructor (Brewer and Hermon)
Instructing 9th & 10th-grade students who are considering enrolling in a technical program at United Technologies Center during their junior and senior years. Provide students with access to a hands-on, project-based trade curriculum that helps develop specific academic, interpersonal, and career/technical skills. Many of the skill standards included in this CTE Exploratory curriculum are the same introductory skills taught within UTC's twenty different program areas, creating a sequential curriculum to enhance student success.
We have two positions open - One at Brewer High School and one at Hermon High School.
Primary responsibilities include:
Teaching students basic and introductory trade skills and knowledge.
Collaborating with UTC/Satellite Staff to build the program to support students interested in attending UTC.
Qualifications:
Relevant trade experience and training.
CTE Instructor Certification with State of Maine DOE
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, families, and community partners.
Professional, cooperative, and respectful of others' beliefs, opinions, and confidentiality.

Administrative Support Specialist – Main Office
Full-Time - Year Round PositionUTC is seeking a welcoming, highly organized professional to serve as the front face of our main office. As the Administrative Support Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact for students, families, and staff, while also ensuring smooth daily operations behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist students, staff, families, and visitors
Report student attendance daily to our partner high schools
Support the Director, Assistant Director, and Business Manager with scheduling, documentation, and communication
Coordinate purchasing, budgeting support, and grant tracking
Maintain staff records, assist with hiring, and manage compliance reporting
Update school-wide announcements and maintain the UTC website
What You Bring:
Degree in Business, Education, or a related field preferred
Experience in school or office administration is a plus
Strong Microsoft Office Skills
Excellent communication, organization, and tech skills
